My toolbox was working last week. When I went to use it today, it said a new version was available which happens once in awhile. I selected the get new version option but nothing seemed to happen. Now when I try to turn it on, it says: "Tubetoolbox is not working, windows is checking for a solution to the problem." Then nothing happens.

Sounds like the auto-upgrade process failed on your computer for some reason. You will need to uninstall Tube Toolbox, then download and re-install Tube Toolbox. All of your lists and sending history will remain.

The issue is that when you download from the main site you are actually downloading from an affiliate's version. Each affiliate has their own version of our download. Since we are moving to a new service provider for the downloads, it will take a day or two for all the affiliates downloads to be updated.
