I have a couple points that I would like to make regarding my Affiliate stats and the Tube Toolbox Software, something just doesn’t make sense here. I started a couple of months ago as an Affiliate of this software as I believe it is the best application for use on Youtube. Since that time I have kept a close eye on my Affiliate stats and now I am a little confused as to what is going on! On several occasions I have had people that have downloaded the software and have been given a 48 hour trial and been left on trial for many days. For example one of my current customers has downloaded the software and been given a full free trial on the 2nd of July 2010, according to my stats the trial is still running today (10th July 2010). I thought that when someone was given a trial it lasted only 48 hours? I also have one user on my stats that shows that the have paid $0.00 but as an affiliate I have made $8 from them? I have also noticed that after speaking with people that have downloaded the software through my link, it appears that they are using the professional version of the software but I have not been paid any commission for it. Are some people using cracks and hacks to bypass payment? There are several users on Youtube promoting such activities and as others have pointed out in the forum there are people appearing on our stats with no contact details. At the moment my stats show that I have going on 30 users of Tube Toolbox that have entered no contact details, no name or email. How can this happen?
I think this software is great, that is why I am both a paid member and an affiliate, but something isn’t right here. Either the stats are not quite right or hackers are taking our commission by giving this software away free of charge and using such sites as “sharecash.org” to bypass payment and make money for themselves. I will continue to promote this product for the time being but when you are up against a free product you stand no chance of making any money. Is it time that the Tube Toolbox software had a revamp to combat hackers??

All valid points. Phil has made a lot of changes (especially in the latest version) to try and prevent cracked versions of the software working correctly. In addition, some of the affiliates will send us links to cracked promotions. We try to investigate and have been able to get several cracked versions removed from download sites.

We did have a problem several months ago with the 48 hour trial not getting cancelled - that has been fixed (or at least we thought). One other point, is sometimes people will ask for a couple extra days or say they were out of town on the days we gave them the free trial so we will extend the trial if appropriate.

Here's what i would suggest. If you can send me some examples of the issues you reference, I can do some research to see what is happening. Please send the examples to support@tubetoolbox.com

thanks!
Chuck
