Hey everyone,
When I try to fresh install TTB on my Window 7 laptop it stops me saying that my Display is other than 96 DPI. The instructions are for (what appears to be) Win XP, but aside from that, I do find the display area in the Control Panel and it is set on the "Medium" which is the default and the perfect font size and so forth for this laptop. TTB will install if I force the resolution smaller to 100% from the default of 125%. There is a custom DPI dropdown offering 100, 125, 150 and 200 so to get as close to 96% I am forced to choose 100% and then squint trying to work on my computer. It doesn't seem right that TTB is controlling how I am setting my display and then I have to suffer for everything else to accept that for this one program. Isn't there an out here? Seems like TTB should run on the Window 7 default of 125%, especially when the warning states 96 DPI as "the most common setting people have" - well not on this Win 7 laptop - the default would be what most people have - and that is 125 DPI.

Great program though, there's no doubt about that!

And thank you!

Daniel

Hi Daniel - you make some good points and I wish we would have built it for any DPI from the beginning. The problem is, it would now take a TON of work to go screen by screen testing and retesting to make sure they all work in all cases. I would be up for doing that be we are actually starting to build a web-based version of Tube Toolbox soon (shhhh it's a secret) and I'd rather focus my time on that so it will work on any computer, any device any resolution. -Phil
