Gathering Users


What does it mean to 'Gather Users'?

Well, it means that when you look at any page on YouTube's website, Tube Toolbox can extract every User that is visible on that page. Once you have gathered Users, you can perform automated tasks such as sending them messages and friend requests.


Ways to Gather Users

Targeted Spider Search: Use this option to randomly load pages on YouTube and only gather users who match your target demographic (age, gender, location, etc). You can also filter out users who haven't logged into YouTube recently or filter based on the number of Friends, Videos, Subscribers a user has.

Gather all from Current Page(s): This will look at whatever webpage the Tube Toolbox browser is currently on and gather all of the users on the page. If you're on a webpage that has a "Next" link such as search results or a list of Friends, Tube Toolbox will automatically cycle through all of the Next pages and gather all of the users.

Gather some from Current Page: This will look at whatever webpage the Tube Toolbox browser is on and let you gather specific users on that page.

Gather from Search Results: Allows you to gather users who have posted videos related to a particular topic.

Gather from User: Allows you to gather a particular user's Friends, Subscribers, Videos, etc (if the user has made them public).

Examples


1) Let's say you have a music band similar to Radio Head. You could use the Gather from User feature and gather all of Radio Head's Subscribers (which you will then send Friend Requests to).


2) Let's say you have a comedy website geared towards college/university males. You could simply use the Spider Search feature and gather only males in the age range of 18 to 24.


3) Let's say you sell golf products. You could use the Gather from Search Results feature and do a search for Golf. This will give you a list of people who have recently posted a YouTube video about golf and are all potential customers of yours.


4) Let's say you're a hip-hop musician. You could use the built in browser to navigate to a popular video similar to yours ('New York' by Jay-Z for example) and click to view all of Comments on the video. Then, use the Gather all from Current Page(s) feature in Tube Toolbox and all users who have commented on that video will be gathered into a list.
