Couple of questions...

Has anyone been banned who is a partner? Or people who have their vids monetised?

The people that have been banned... did you find all your accounts banned or just some?

We've been running three toolboxes on three channels 24/7 for weeks, sending contact requests, no problems here so far. About 14 sites, 1 has the full partnership status from before April, all channels/videos are monetised.

Chuck and co have always come good in the past and I know they will be working really hard on this so please bear with them; our YouTube channels are their business so you can be sure they will be doing all they can.

DM

NB: Not sure what you mean by dummy/drone accounts, to my knowledge it is permissable to have many accounts/channels.

Thanks for the info. Interesting, I don't think friend requests are an issue then. The only thing I've used my main for is friend request and about 20 pms and its fine. Looks like thats safe.

Yeah I feel massively sorry for TubeToolBox right now. It's not their fault this has happened. Hopefully they'll be able to sort it out and get the banned users unbanned. Might take a lot of negotiating with YouTube though. I just hope TubeToolBox is the kind of company that will actually do whatever it takes to talk to YouTube to get this sorted.

EDIT: Drone accounts are made with the sole purpose of sending out videos. Btw, do you find the friend request strategy useful? i never saw much of an increase with it.

Thanks DR for the info re drones - not something we have ever used/done.

Regarding strategy, I know it’s sounds a cop out but I’m not the strategist, I’m the ‘technical’ bod in our team! All I can say is that since the change we stopped sending out vids, only contact requests and our revenue from ads has more than doubled. Are the two linked – I don’t know! On the face of it, it may have saved our channels anyway.

Not all of my drone accounts got banned, it seems all new user accounts, or drone accounts, before a specific date were effected.

I have some old accounts from years back that I use as drones, and they are fine. The accounts I've made this year were banned. I have 1 full partner account, and 2 others I care about, uneffected.

I normally only send out contact/friend requests, I knew getting into messages and share videos would get messy eventually. That's why I took the percausion and made sure to uncheck the option to include my main account with the message sent.

Sad for you guys that worked hard on your accounts this year, better just send contact requests if you have any accounts left.

Has anyone gotten terminated that made the account last year? Just wondering.

I'm sure TTB staff will fix this up some how, but I doubt any of you with banned accounts will get them back from TTB's efforts, but don't quote me on that it's better to wait for an official response.

6 of my 9 accounts using TubeToolbox were suspended. Here are the similarities between all accounts:
-each account was created more than a year ago but less than 2 years ago.
-each had been using "Share Video (with message)" for over a year
-each had uploaded 0 videos
-each had 100-300 subscribers
-each had 500+ contacts/friends
-each had 600+ unread messages in YouTube inbox
-each was created with a yahoo or hotmail email addresses
-each was using the same internet connection
-each was using SubscriberTrain

The 3 which did not get suspended:
1 matched all of the above except the account was created over 5 years ago
1 matched all of the above except it was created with a gmail address
1 matched all of the above except it was set as "Main Account" in TubeToolBox terminology (maybe the "Main Account" did not have the bug of sending multiple messages per user).

well this sucks if you guys don't get your accounts back. well.....actually this exact thing happened to me a few weeks ago. my main account got banned and I emailed youtube claiming i did nothing wrong and they gave my account right back! well, i didn't email youtube but they sent me an email saying my account was suspended and i had the option for them to review it to make sure so i followed through with the option for them to review it and nothing was wrong so they gave me the account back. it took about 10 days. so if you guys got an email anywhere then make sure its reviewed bu youtube before you know its gone forever!

and if you guys do lose your accounts forever than feel free to upload on my second channel which has 7,000 subscribers to help you guys get back on your feet when you restart your main channels. I know how devistating it is to lose an account when i thought i lost my main channel. my main channel is off limits because its a pretty big channel but i will let anyone upload anything on my second channel :)

Please read below. It is the email that we are sending out to people. There is a survey at the bottom - please send responses to support@tubetoolbox.com

Tube Toolbox has been in business for 5+ years and we've never had a case where a user's account was suspended for using our product. Today (May 31st) we had several people email us and say that their YouTube account was suspended. We have thousands and thousands of users who seem to be just fine but the fact that all of you were suspended raises red flags and means that something is wrong.

We have already discovered one possible problem that we are fixing and putting out a new version of Tube Toolbox this evening. A change on YouTube's website caused Tube Toolbox to potentially contact the same person more than once which is something that have many safeguards in for. Please read the FAQs below.

Can I get my Money back?
Yes. Whether or not the suspention was caused because of Tube Toolbox, we want to sincerely appologize. YouTube is our life and we know how much time and effort goes into each Channel. So, the first thing that we can do is offer a full refund and money back of all payments made in the last 60 days (that is max that PayPal and our credit card processing company will allow). I know that won't mean much if a Channel can't get recovered, but it's an easy good-faith thing for us to start with. If you want to continue using Tube Toolbox with a different YouTube channel (instead of a refund), you can keep your subscription active and switch it by following these instructions: http://support.tubetoolbox.com/entries/20799371-how-to-switch-your-professional-subscription-to-a-different-channel

Can I get my Channel back?
Hopefully. The truth is, no one knows exactly who the mystery people are on the other side of YouTube.com who will decide your fate but there is a webpage set up where you can appeal your suspention: http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/request.py?contact_type=accountdisabled Also, read #5 below.

Is there anything I can do to help?
YES. We have a short set of questions below that will be extremely helpful in us figuring out if this was in fact Tube Toolbox related and if so, what went wrong.

1. When did you last use Tube Toolbox?

2. What bulk actions were you using last? (Share Video, Add Contact, etc)? and what bulk actions do you generally use?

3. How many Videos and Views did the Channel have approximately?

4. Do you use multi-account sending when Sharing Videos or Messages? (aka "account chaining")

5. We plan on contacting YouTube ourselves and asking that our customers' accounts get reinstated. Would you like your Channel to be included in that request? If so, what is your Channel name? Keep in mind that YouTube will know that you are using Tube Toolbox which is why we are asking your permission here to include your Channel.

Thanks for working through this with us. We have our fingers crossed that there will be a positive outcome and that YouTube will reinstate your account. Please keep us posted with YouTube's response if you submit your appeal through their website.

1. May 30th
2. Bulk comment on user profiles from main account. Share video from other accounts
3. Almost 450k views and just under 400 videos.
4. Account chaining for share video: 4 accounts.(All under same IP)
5. Yes, that's fine with me, my channel name is ChillClipz.

Thank you for the help, sure hope this all gets settled out for the best.

Same thing for me; drone accounts all banned last night but very luckily not my main channel. Using video shares and nervous about trying it again once it is "fixed"...

Mine too. :( This sucks! I'm not giving up though. Not yet. Phil and Chuck will find a way!

Has anyone gotten through with the appeal? When I send it in they respond with a "the email address you used has been disabled".

Phil, should we post the answers to those 5 questions here on the forum, or message them to you?

Here's my answers:

1. May 30.

2. Video shares and private messages. I usually use these two, sometimes channel comments.

3. 10 videos, a little over 7,000 views.

4. Yes.

5. Yes, please, absolutely. My channel is called Crazy Slug Productions. You have my full permission to include them.

1. May 31, 2012
2. Video Shares (only)
3. Various accounts have a few videos, mostly favorites of other channels being promoted or shared
4. YES
5. CeneWorksMedia is one account banned. Also, CeneTeam is another.. I emailed a full list of all accounts.

I have faith in TubeToolBox as you guys have treated us well. I have 3 full paid accounts though and am risking losing an entire's year of work, not to mention a waste of purchasing 3 life time accounts. I trust that you'll do everything to resolve this.
Here's an idea, to avoid people's main accounts being suspended, how about enabling 5 accounts (drones) instead of just 4 if you disable sending from your host account? That'd be a nice feature. Then we only risk losing drones

Please help - my account is suspended:

"This account has been suspended due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube's policy against spam, scams and commercially deceptive content."

Can you please help me? I just have Tube Toolbox installed and follow all policies.

That still wouldn't be the case unfortunately. As I've mentioned previously, I lost my main account that wasn't even registered to TTB (As a drone or a main account). The reason being that TTB, using other accounts, was sharing videos uploaded to this account. That still got it banned.

Hi there,

I too unfortunately had 2 main accounts banned and 5 drone accounts. For the record, I was on the £2 week free trial.

1. May 31st.

2. Video shares and friend requests.

3. 27 videos on one, 1000 views (it may not seem like much but it means a huge amount to me, especially as some of the videos are irreplaceable). The second account had around 20 videos in it and was a lot more for my own benefit.

4. Yes.

5. Yes, please. My first channel is called GenerallyGoodGamer. The second account is GenerallyGoodGuy. You have my full permission to include them.

Thank you very much for your help and all your work into this matter.
