For whatever reason (security/permissions on your computer, an Internet connection gets dropped, a Firewall is blocking Tube Toolbox, etc), the auto-upgrade process can fail when there is a new version of Tube Toolbox released.

95% of the time, there are 3 files that are upgraded with each new version.

If the auto-upgrade fails then the solution is to either completely re-install Tube Toolbox from scratch, OR if that doesn't work, download the following 3 files and replace the 3 files that are currently in your Tube Toolbox folder on your computer.

Download these 3 files:
https://www.TubeToolbox.com/UpdateFiles/TubeToolbox.exe
https://www.TubeToolbox.com/UpdateFiles/SLib.dll
https://www.TubeToolbox.com/UpdateFiles/YouTubeLib.dll

And replace the 3 files in this location on your computer:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Sincell\Tube Toolbox\"

Note 1: If you are Windows XP, the path on your computer will be: "C:\Program Files\Sincell\Tube Toolbox"

Note 2: Make sure Tube Toolbox isn't running when you try to copy those 3 files over

Hello to anybody reading this. I am a newbie, just installed today, and purchased the 149 package. For some reason, my account is not being recognized. I tried to send some friend requests today and it told me i reached my maximum of 5.

I tried to follow the steps you posted @Toolman, but those dll files are giving me an error message.

Somebody help please!

The links above are dead links unfortunately and I have emailed a few times to ask for the files. I know you are all busy, but could you just post them online for us?

Thanks!

I tried both options, replacing the files in my toolbox folder, as well as re-installing. Do you have an older version we can download until this bug gets fixed?

Links are dead. I cant install a copy either. I a an error message' This advertised application will not be installed because it might be unsafe. Contact your administrator to change the installation user interface user option of the package to basic'. Once I click the OK button, the tube tool box error box pops up with message' The installer was interupted before Tube Toolbox could be installed. You need to restart the installer to try again'

On clicking the Close button, it exits the installer and now my copy of tube toolbox is not working.

Please advise how I can fix this.
