Hey Gang - over the last 6 years our forum has become cluttered with outdated information and spammy posts.
We want to make it easier for you to find the information you are looking for.
As a result, we are migrating to new Forum software soon with one big clean out of posts that are no longer useful.
The new forum will look completely different so don't be shocked when it's launched :)

I currently run 3 instances of ttb on the same computer and IP I do everything else on. The performance is not the issue, my computer build is recent and can handle just about anything due to the cpu technology and other factors.

My problem is the bandwidth ttb uses while I'm playing online games.

The connection I use is cable, and I get frequent lag during "high usage times" in my city to the point where the games are unplayable.
NOTE: I've only experienced bandwidth problems with online games, and no bandwidth related problems to activities such as 'watching streaming content' online.

If I turn off *ALL instances of ttb, then everything is normal.

Even 1 instance of ttb can give some annoying lag to online gaming during peak usage hours, so I'm wondering if there are any other gamers out there that use ttb under 1 IP and have success with QOS rendering the game you're enjoying - playable, and doesn't hinder the functions of ttb (IE ttb not recognizing an internet connection).

If there are any other solutions, please list them in detail.

I've already searched the forum a bit and found some threads, but I haven't read any real solutions. Currently I don't use a router, so the QOS function is unavailable for me to test, but I've recently ordered a router that has the QOS function and wondering ahead of time if this will help in anyway. Of course, there are other solutions to my issue, but we can get into that later when QOS as a solution, is nullified.

A response from the developers will also be acceptable :)

Possible solution without using Qos off of a router - which has worked a bit for me so far, not to be hasty:

I found a program called NetBalancer
by limiting ttb 'Download Speeds' to 5kb/sec I'm getting really good results, so with 3 instances it limits download to 15kb/sec.

This really minimized any sort of lag spikes.
I believe Qos has a similar feature with a particular firmware and possibly default firmware, which would be ideal to use, since it will won't be running on my machine bur rather on the router.

I'd still like some responses from admins/developers, and users, thank you.
