Before covering changes in this release......
We received an email recently from someone whose hard drive failed. They purchased a new computer and wanted to get Tube Toolbox up and running on the new computer. What they did not realize is that we keep a database file on each user's computer that contains: messages, lists, historical sending information, etc. Therefore, it is important you keep backups of your systems in case your computer crashes and you need to reload everything from scratch. Otherwise, all your Tube Toolbox historical data will be lost.
Logging Changes
We added more logging information to the database file maintained on your computer, so we can track when you begin and end a sending session. In addition, we will be logging the result of each individual send, again, so we can troubleshoot issues. While the primary purpose of incorporating these changes is to troubleshoot issues, we will also be able to use the sending data to analyze why sending works better for some customers than others.
Restart sending session - Friend Requests
We will add the ability to restart and resume asending session from the point that it was stopped for Friend Requests only. In the future, we will add this functionality for all other sending functionality but we wanted to start with one sending feature. So, if you stop sending Friend Requests (or your computer shuts down) before completing a sending session for Friend Requests, the next time you startup Send Friend Requests, we will ask you if you want to continue from where you left off.
Changes due to YouTube changes
YouTube changed their message for successfully subscribing to a channel. Therefore, our program was subscribing to a channel but then trying to subscribe again since we were not aware it was successful. The second time we tried, you would receive a message that you were already subscribed to the channel because it went through the first time - we just were not aware it was successful due to YouTube changes.
Posting comments on videos that resulted in captcha messages were not being handled correctly because of a YouTube change.
We expanded the number of subscriptions displayed when you use the unsubscribe from channel feature.
