Yes, it's been a while since we've put out a Blog Post. Should really keep up with it better... But at least we're keeping up with YouTube changes every single day which is what really matters :)
New Features
- Blacklisted User Group is finally here!
This has been a long standing request that I've wanted to add but not had time to get to. Finally got time over the last week. You will notice that you now have a user group called Blacklist. Any user that you add to this list will automatically be filtered out when you are Selecting Recipients.
There are a couple ways to add users to the list.
1. Click on the Manage Lists link on the main winow and copy users from other groups into your Blacklist group.
2. Click the 'Add User' image/button while you have the Blacklist group visible in group list Tab
3. You can select the Blacklist group anytime you do any sort of Gather.
When selecting recipients, you can view which users were filtered out.
- Customize Retry Seconds
When you hit YouTube's sending limits, Tube Toolbox retries the action every 2 minutes. The fact that it always retries on the same interval was a bit unnerving to people. Now, Tube Toolbox will randomly pick a wait time between a Min and Max retry seconds that you choose. You can select your Min/Max by going to the Settings Page from the Options Menu.
- Default Send Delay Now Matches Recommended Settings
When you load any Bulk Action, you will notice that the Min/Max Send Delay match our recommended settings on http://www.tubetoolbox.com/BulkSendingGuide.aspx
In a future version of Tube Toolbox I'll make it so it remembers your settings for each feature. So, when you open Tube Toolbox, they will be set to whatever you had them set as before.
Fixes/Changes
- Gathering users from username searches now works. sample url: http://www.youtube.com/comment_search?so=pagerank&q=spiderman
- Implemented 'saftey' feature to ensure that you don't send to the same person twice in a row if YouTube changes their Sent Folder code
- Added text to Upgrade screen which should help reduce support emails and allow us more time to add features!
- Added new dialogs specific to different log-in problems which will reduce support emails and allow us more time to add features
- Fixed all links in our Main Menu to your account settings which didn't work
