      Terms of Service

Update to Tube Toolbox Terms of Service:   Tube Toolbox takes compliance of YouTube's Terms of Service seriously. We do not condone or accept spamming by our customers. We are constantly looking for ways to insure customers comply with YouTube's Terms of Service. Any customer found not complying with YouTube's Terms of Service will be given a warning and a reason why the warning is occurring. If the customer ignores our warnings they will be banned from using Tube Toolbox.

We have completed testing using a browser to access YouTube's website. Based on our testing, we have changed Tube Toolbox sending limits to prohibit usage of our bulk features in a manner that does not comply with YouTube's Terms of Servicehttp://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYgwwgv5-QnWd0Y5HbozuUw/videos (sorry, bad video - we will re-do at some point)

None of the changes made should impact the number of bulk actions you can get out in a given day. We recommend setting your minimum delay to 30 seconds and you maximum delay to 60 seconds as a general rule. These timings will get the maximum number of items out per day while still staying within YouTube's TOS.

      Emergency Fix + 4-Year Fix

Emergency Fix: YouTube changed the way that Messages are sent and also changed the way that the Sent Folder is loaded which temporarily broke Tube Toolbox. Thanks to everyone who notified us via the Support Forum thread. It took just a couple of hours to get it fixed and up and running again. After many years of work, these changes become easier and faster for us which helps everyone.

4-Year Fix: First there was YouTube, then there was YouTube owned by Google, then there was Google Plus integration. Over time, Google has changed the way that accounts work and we've had a lot of problems with people logging in with their Email Address but when they purchased Tube Toolbox they entered their Channel name or visa versa which caused problems in our system. It's basically been a huge mess for 4 years. Yesterday, I sat out in the beautiful San Diego sun with a giant whiteboard and designed plans on how fix it. This release implements the changes. Basically, no matter what you log in with, it gets resolved to your CHANNEL NAME. So, you will no longer see your email address on the log-in screen of Tube Toolbox and hopefully when you log in on our website, you will start seeing your Channel names instead of email addresses (for those of you who long in with your email).

TLDR; Tube Toolbox Accounts are all based on your CHANNEL name now.

      Organize your Messages into Campaigns

In this release you will notice that you can now organize your Messages into Campaigns.

This feature has been requested for a long time and we finally got around to it. We also updated the Manage Messages screen because the old one hadn't been updated in years (and frankly was ugly). We also added a new Placeholder so that you can include the account that you are sending from in your Messages. Use #CN#

New Tube Toolbox Clean Contacts Feature

We have added a new feature giving you the ability to clean your contact list.

As you should be aware, YouTube limits the number of contacts they display to 5,000. So, even though you may have more than 3,000 contacts you can only send messages to the 5,000 contacts displayed by YouTube.

HOWEVER, the bigger issue is that normally many of the 3,000 listed are not the YT users you want to communicate with. In many cases, they are closed YouTube accounts. In an effort to improve your ability to communicate with the users important to you, our new feature provides a way to streamline and manage your contacts. So, how does the new feature work, you ask?

Before showing you the mechanics of how to use the feature, let's first talk about how we envisioned you would use it. Here are the steps we suggest.

      1. Delete all closed/suspended accounts from your contact list.
      2. Create lists of users you do not want to delete from your contact list
      3. Delete all contacts except for those you do not want to delete by filtering out all users you want to keep
The mechanics of how to use the new feature...

After gathering contact information from Tube Toolbox and YouTube the following screen will be displayed. Click on "Clean Contacts". After the cleaning runs, click on "Re-Synchronize My Contacts". Repeat the Clean Contacts and Re-Synchronize My Contacts clicks until the Clean Contacts does not delete anymore contacts. At that point, all your contacts are active accounts (no closed or suspended YouTube accounts are in your list).

Once you have only active accounts in your contact list, you should use our Gathering Users feature and Manage Lists to create lists of accounts you want to filter from the Clean Contacts deletion process. For example,  you may not want to delete any contacts that are in any of the following lists.
      • Your Subscribers
      • Your "Old" Friends list (assuming you had Tube Toolbox before Friends were eliminated from YouTube)
      • Anyone who has commented on your channel
      • Anyone who has commented on your videos
      • Anyone who has commented on your favorites
      • etc.
Hopefully, you get the idea. You want to display a list of all your contacts and then uncheck users based on other lists you have. To do this, you
      • Uncheck the "Delete ONLY Closed Accounts" check box
      • Check any list you want to uncheck from the to be deleted users
The following image is after unchecking the Delete ONLY check box and selecting the groups we want to filter out from our deletion process.

Finally, the image below displays the users that will be deleted from your contact list after the "Filter out Groups" button was pressed. Notice the reduction in the number selected. The Subscribers and Friends (in this example) were unchecked. NOTE: you may have other lists you want to uncheck, such as a list of everyone who has commented on your channel or videos. You would check the appropriate list in addition to your subscriber and friend list.

At this point you would click on the Clean Contacts and all the checked users will be deleted from your contact list.
You can do the above process multiple times until you end up with 3,000 users that are important to you!

YouTube Layout Changes + Big Tube Toolbox Changes

      YouTube Layout Changes. READ THIS

Over the last few days, YouTube has been pushing out changes which have angered thousands of their customers and affected Tube Toolbox features.

      Some major points:

      • YouTube is eliminating the word "Friends" from their service.  Read about it here You will have Contacts and Subscribers. No Friends.

      • Because there are no more "Friends", the "Send Friend Request" feature inside Tube Toolbox as been replaced by "Bulk Add Contacts" which is now basically the same thing. In fact, you will hardly see the word "Friend" anywhere inside Tube Toolbox. Instead of people seeing pending Friend Requests in their address book, they will see you as a Suggested Contact after you add them as a Contact through Tube Toolbox. View Screenshot Here

      • In the new layout, both Friends and Subscribers are no longer displayed on a user's Channel. In order to make up for this deficiency, we have changed the Gathering feature within Tube Toolbox to be able to gather a user's Contacts and also gather Users who have Commented on any of their Videos.
      * Please read our larger article about YouTube Changes and give you feedback.

So much has changed that it's hard to explain all of it so please just jump in and use this new version of Tube Toolbox and give us your feedback. Unlike YouTube, will will actually LISTEN to your feedback and make sure that Tube Toolbox remains an essential marketing tool.

We will continue to monitor YouTube's forums and keep up to date with all of their changes.

      Emergency fix for Share Video

YouTube has some issues with their Share Video feature which is causing a YouTube internal server error. This was causing Failure Unknown errors in our Share Video functionality. After 5 of these errors, we stop sharing videos. This work around will try multiple times before generating the Failure Unknown error. This seems to work as YouTube's error normally is fixed after the 2nd try.

      New Features / Fixes

      Fixes:

      • Google/YouTube has been messing with their log-in screen and it seems to have affected a few of our customers. We implemented a fix which should fix the problem for people who are having trouble logging into Tube Toolbox.
      • YouTube changed their code which broke "Auto-Accept Friend Requests." That feature is now working again.
      • When gathering a user's Friends/Subscribers, if that user hides their Friends/Subscribers, Tube Toolbox notifies you so you aren't gathering an empty screen.
      • We changed the "wait" time from 10 minutes to 15 minnutes when posting comments. From our tests, you will get more out per day this way.

      New Features:

      • We have created a "Friend Request Wizard" which makes it easier for the ultra-lazy. You don't need to gather users or set up a bulk sending screen. Just pick a user's subscribers or keyword or video that people have commented on, and Friend Requests will be sent to all of those people. This feature will really be for users who are new to Tube Toolbox so they can easily see the benefit of the program. If any of you experts out there want to give it a shot, let us know what you think!
      • Login Screen Update. The login screen now has an image of your Channel when you select a Username. This is a small piece in a big change that is coming where you can log in with your Google Account, YouTube Channel Name or Gmail Email address and Tube Toolbox will recognize them all as the same thing instead of 3 different accounts. This has been a headache for you guys and us and we're finally clearing it up soon.
      • We added the ability for you to remove users/videos from synchronized lists.

      Other:

      • We are working on a big change at TubeToolbox.com where you will be able to log into your account and manage all of your Subscriptions (cancel, switch, order, etc). This is also where all of or affiliates will log in and get Affiliate details. For a sneak peak, take a look:  https://www.tubetoolbox.com/account/login.aspx

I think that's about it... Let us know if you have any issues. It's been a while since we put out a new version (3 weeks or so) which means lots of code has been changed and we always test as much as we can but we rely on you guys to let us know if you hit and issues.

Tube Toolbox Release - Fix issues with Share Video caused by YouTube changes

YouTube made a couple of changes for sharing videos in their system. This caused Tube Toolbox to periodically display Failure Unknown errors. We changed our program to handle the YouTube changes.

Additionally,  we fixed an error with filtering the number of videos a person has uploaded.

New releases to correct some issues with last release

We had an issue with the release we put out on May 12th. Our issue results in all sending activity occurring through your primary account (not any additional accounts).

We put out a release last night and another one today that addresses the issue.

Also, if the number of messages or videos you can send is significantly reduced you should stop trying to send for 24 hours (including directly from www.youtube.com). Due to the fact our software was sending messages only from the primary account, YouTube may be restricting the sending from that account.

      Sorry for the inconvenience.

Tube Toolbox Release - Captcha for Too Much Activity message from YouTube

New release for a few changes by YouTube and the correction of an Tube Toolbox issue.

      1. YouTube has begun monitoring activity more and will display a message during log in that says there has been a lot of activity from your network and you need to enter a captcha to log on. We have changed Tube Toolbox to display the captcha and allow you to enter it directly instead of forcing you to log in directly through your browser.

      2. YouTube changed the way they display the next page when paging through certain screens you are trying to gather from. This caused gathering to occur for only the first page. We have changed our software to handle YouTube's new way of displaying next page.

      3. Tube Toolbox issue with server connectivity was causing certain users accounts to look like Personal accounts instead of Professional accounts.
We are looking into providing same solution as #1 for other login instances where YouTube is requesting you to enter a captcha. Future releases will handle these situations.
